The first Hindu temple built in Abu Dhabi is completely ready, it will be inaugurated on 14 February 2024 and the Prime Minister of India PM Narendra Modi has been called to inaugurate this temple. Prime Minister Modi is going to inaugurate this temple. The President of UAE had donated the land to build it and now the temple is completely ready by building it at the same place.
This is the largest Hindu temple in Asia. This temple has been prepared by the Swaminarayan sect. The temples of the Swaminarayan sect are located in America, Canada, and Fiji. For example, in some countries, they have built temples. All these temples have been built with ancient architecture. Till now, the Swaminarayan sect has built around 1,000 temples all over the world. A glimpse of Lord Shri Krishna is visible in most of their temples.
Some Special Things To Do In The Temple In Abu Dhabi
This temple has been built at a cost of about 800 crores. This temple is spread over about 26 acres of land. The foundation stone of this temple was laid in 2019. Now it is completely ready in 2024. To build this temple, white marble stones and Pink stone has been used, beautiful workmanship has been done in this temple. Ramayana, Shiva Purana, and the journey of Lord Jagannath are also depicted on the walls of this temple.
The confluence of Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati is also depicted in this temple. 7 Shikars have been made which represent the seven Emirs of UAE. No steel, iron, etc. has been used to build this temple. This temple is completely made of stone. Modern technology has been used in the temple. Sensors have been used in this temple which collects data of the earth’s movement and temperature.
Hindu temple built in Abu Dhabi: The height of this temple is 108 feet and about 1.8 million bricks have been used in it and there are 96 bells on the heavy side of the temple. Nano tiles have been used in this temple which remain cool even in summer. All the idols of this temple have been made in India. A Ganga Ghat has been built near this temple in which Ganga water has been arranged.
Who Was Swami Narayan
He was born in Chhapra, a village in Ayodhya. He was born on the day of Ram Navami in 1781. His sacred thread ceremony was performed at the age of 8. After this, his education started. His first name was Ghanshyam. His parents died at the age of 11. After this, he left home and went on a journey across the country, and at this time he met Gopal Yogi, he was a great yoga practitioner of his time, from here he was given a new name Neelkanth Varni, and he came to Gujarat.
Reached here, he started a new sect, here all his disciples gave him a new name, Purushottam Narayan. Whenever there was a natural disaster in the country, he and his disciples would reach there to help. He instructed his disciples to help the needy. People were very impressed by these works and started considering him as God, hence he was given a new name Swami Narayan. For the first time in February 1822, construction of a temple of Swami Narayan started in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Such was the impact that the British donated land to them to build a temple.
It was from here that the work of building temples by Swaminarayan started and now there are more than 1 thousand temples of Swami Narayan sect in the country and abroad.
